1. Technical Writer (Intern)

Develop comprehensive technical documentation: Create user manuals, online help systems, tutorials, and other technical documentation for a variety of software and hardware products.
Collaborate with subject matter experts: Work closely with engineers, developers, and other technical stakeholders to gather information, understand product features, and ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
Leverage content management systems: Manage and maintain documentation within designated content management systems, ensuring proper version control and accessibility.
Contribute to the development of documentation processes: Participate in process improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices within the team.
Stay updated on industry trends: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices in technical documentation.

Bachelor's degree in technical writing, communication, computer science, or a related field.
Proven experience as a technical writer or information developer, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
Strong technical writing skills: Excellent command of grammar, style, and clarity in written communication.
Experience in creating user manuals, online help systems, and other technical documentation.
Familiarity with various software and hardware platforms.
Experience with content management systems (CMS) and authoring tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience in SaaS, Networking, or Web application development sectors.
Experience with single-sourcing and content reuse strategies.
Knowledge of XML and other content markup languages.

A 20-hour working week is standard in this role, but flexible working practices are common and you may need to work outside of a typical 9am to 5pm pattern. As many freelancers work from home and remotely (from locations outside of the organization's workplace), you'll sometimes be able to choose your working hours.
Your first role will typically be of a content writer trainee/intern. With experience and relevant professional qualifications, you can move into the role of head content developer.
